2021 Spring Conference
Survey Results
Thank you for your RSA 2021 Dublin submissions. We received more than 600 panel proposals and 300 individual paper submissions. In addition, there were nearly 2,000 responses to our conference survey sent to members in July regarding your thoughts on a brick and mortar or virtual conference.

According to the survey, 39.8% of respondents indicated that they would attend an in-person conference next spring and the majority of those who responded “yes” live in Europe, the United Kingdom, or the East Coast of the United States.

The conference committee is working to ensure an inclusive conference for all who wish to participate and will provide an update on the spring meeting over the next couple of months. Please watch for details.
2021 Research Fellowships
Our Research Fellowships competition is underway and submissions are due by 15 September 2020. We are awarding fellowships of $2,000 to scholars working in the field of Renaissance studies (1300–1700). The application site and details about the application process, eligibility, residential fellowship, non-residential fellowships, and publication subventions can be found here.

POK Award Nominations
Submit your nominations for the 2021 Paul Oskar Kristeller Lifetime Achievement Award by 14 September 2020. This award honors a lifetime of uncompromising devotion to the highest standard of scholarship accompanied by exceptional achievement in Renaissance studies. Call for Papers
The Total Library: Aspirations for Complete Knowledge in the Middle Ages and Renaissance
Submissions due 1 September 2020 for the 27th Biennial Conference of the Medieval and Renaissance Studies Program of Barnard College. This one-day conference will be held over Zoom on 5 December 2020.

Black Performance in Early Modern Iberia
Submissions due 15 October 2020 for a special issue of the Bulletin of the Comediantes. Essays should analyze the cataloguing, performance, or representation of black Africans and their descendants.

Exciting News! Event, Narration and Impact from Past to Present
Submissions due 2 October 2020 for this two-day conference highlighting the concept and use of news back to the early modern origins. Organized by the Irish Humanities Alliance in collaboration with University College Cork, the conference will be held 18–19 February 2021.

Female Experience in Early Modern England
Submissions due 30 September 2020 for this conference highlighting the various perspectives on how women lived in the past. Sponsored by the Alice Griffin Fund and organized by the School of Humanities at the University of Auckland, the meeting will be held 6–7 November 2020.

Fellowships & Grants
Burghley Visiting Fellowship
Submissions due 1 September 2020 for fellowships of up to two terms in Cambridge. Fellows will work on projects related to the lives of William Cecil, Lord Burghley, & Mildred Cecil, Lady Burghley.

London Renaissance Seminar (LRS) Fellowships
Submissions for visiting and early career fellowships are now open. Established academics coming to London for research and early career scholars from outside the UK, who are spending a period of time researching in London, are encouraged to apply.
People in Motion Inclusiveness Target Country (PIMo ITC) Conference Grants
Submissions due by 5 December 2020. These grants are intended to support participation at conferences by PhD candidates and early career investigators affiliated with an institution of an ITC participating in PIMo.
