Renew Weekend at The Hills Church
To our volunteers, donors, prayer partners and friends,

RENEW weekend is May 16, 2021 this year at the Hills Church. On RENEW weekend, all contributions are distributed to the many non-profit organizations connected to The Hills Church. In the past, your generosity has made a difference in the lives of the children we serve.

We realize not all of you receiving this email attend The Hills Church. If you do, we ask you to be in prayer about the amount you will be giving this coming weekend. If you do not attend The Hills Church, also join us in prayer for those who will be making these important donations on Renew Weekend.

Our Father’s Children originated at The Hills and is one of the original organizations that has benefited from RENEW over the years. RENEW is our single largest fundraising effort for the year and comprises a major part of our operating budget. This year, The Hills Church elders will be determining the amount we will receive from this year's offering. There are many great organizations involved and we are honored to be a part of Renew Weekend. You can learn more about Renew Weekend by clicking here .

As you consider your Renew Weekend giving in a couple of days, know this. Your donation will be an enormous help to Our Father’s Children and will allow us to continue the great programs for the abused, neglected, and abandoned children we love and serve.

Your donations are needed to continue our preparations for all three summer camps and the fall retreats that will serve approximately 375 children ages 6-18. Our programs are more important than ever before as we were not able to have camps and retreats in 2020 due to Covid-19.

On behalf of the children, thank you for your prayers, service and contributions to Our Father’s Children. Please pray that God will continue to bless our ministry to the marginalized children of North Texas.

In Jesus' love,

Darren Edwards,
Executive Director

p.s. We recently produced a video about two of our long-time volunteers, Keith Clements and Jacob Cedillo. Keith came to us as a 7-year old camper and went through all of our programs before returning as a loyal RFKC Counselor. Jacob started as a teenager at our Onward & Upward weekend retreat, volunteered as a teen helper and has teamed up with Keith as a RFKC Counselor. You can watch their story and how their lives have been impacted by our ministry at
