Ribbon Cutting Celebration at Tables And Taps!

Wednesday, we had the honor of celebrating the Ribbon Cutting for the brand new Tables and Taps restaurant, located at 11979 William Penn Highway, Mill Creek!

This exciting new spot offers a unique and delicious menu that’s sure to wow your taste buds—all served in a stylish and welcoming atmosphere.

As our community navigates a difficult economic stretch, it’s never been more important to rally behind our local businesses. With the campgrounds at Raystown Lake—one of our region’s major tourism drivers—currently closed, many local shops, restaurants, and service providers are feeling the strain.

Tourism fuels a large part of our economy, and without the usual summer crowds, businesses that depend on those visitors are struggling to stay afloat. From family-run boutiques and cafes to mechanics, salons, and service providers, these are the people who show up for us—sponsoring school events, donating to fundraisers, and investing in our community.

Now it’s our turn to show up for them.

Every dollar spent locally makes a difference. Whether you're grabbing lunch at a neighborhood diner, buying gifts from a local shop, or hiring a local contractor, your choice matters. Who we support today will determine which businesses are still standing tomorrow.

Let’s make sure the small businesses we love make it through this tough time—because our community is stronger when we support each other.

Shop local. Support local. Invest in Huntingdon County.

Did you know........

Small businesses represent the largest segment by number of most local chamber membership rolls. Results in the research study by The Shapiro Group, Inc. and Market Street indicate the impact of local chamber membership on small businesses is very powerful. If a consumer knows a small business is a member of its local chamber, the business enjoys a 44 percent increase in its consumer favorability rating, a 51 percent increase in consumer awareness, a 57 percent increase in its local reputation and a 63 percent increase in the likelihood that consumers will patronize the business in the future.

Research indicates that chamber membership stimulates business-to-business commerce in the local community. Other businesses in town are more likely to do business with you and your company if you are a member of the local chamber. Because a major part of a small business typically comes from business-to-business services, it is essential to maintain a positive standing within the local business community.
