Our physician scientists will be part of an all-time Rutgers Cancer Institute/ RWJBarnabas Health record with 66 sessions, including 24 oral presentations/abstracts, poster presentations, scientific and satellite symposia, and special interest forums at the American Society of Hematology (ASH) Annual Meeting being held December 5-10. This remarkable impact comes from across the blood disorders effort system-wide, with key contributions from adult and pediatric experts, malignant and classical hematology, senior investigators, junior faculty, fellows, residents, and medical students.

Fourth Annual RWJBarnabas Health and Rutgers Cancer Institute Oncology Clinical Practice and Research Summit Held Last Month




More than 300 individuals attended our Annual Oncology Clinical Practice and Research Summit last month. This year's program included insightful discussions from Rutgers Cancer Institute and RWJBarnabas Health clinicians, researchers, and leadership showcasing new advances and insights in cancer programs, clinical trials, and oncology initiatives. The Summit also paid tribute to our former colleague Bryan Soltes who passed away in April, naming the keynote presentation as the Bryan Soltes Keynote Address.

For the second consecutive year RWJBarnabas Health and Rutgers Cancer Institute have been named to Becker’s Hospital Review’s 100 Hospitals and Health Systems with Great Oncology Programs list for 2024. The list honors heath systems that have earned national recognition for their work in driving forward advanced cancer care and research, as well as cancer centers with internationally known specialists, capacity for clinical trials and exceptional safety ratings.
