Reopening Monday May 10th, 2021!
After 1 year, 1 month, and 23 days, Equilibrium Fitness for Women will resume modified indoor operations on Monday May 10th at 7:00 am! It seems unbelievable that what started as "two weeks to flatten the curve" turned into a multi-year rollercoaster that has completely reshaped the world in which we live.

Now that California is leading the nation with the lowest daily COVID-19 case rates, SLO County is showing stable case rates with declining hospitalizations, and the vaccine rollout is well underway, we feel it is a safer and more appropriate time to welcome members back into the facility. We are excited to see all your smiling eyes in the near future.

We want to say thank you! This year has been incredibly difficult, both personally for our family and for our business. We would not be in a position to reopen without so many of you who continued to support us through ongoing memberships, rentals, and personal training. There is a lot of healing needed for our bodies, our minds, and our economy, but we are still here to provide a safe, comfortable space to build relationships while improving your physical and mental health.

While in the Orange Tier, we will be operating at a 25% capacity and reduced hours of operations (read below) . There will be no indoor group exercise classes at this time. We will continue the current outdoor class schedule. We will be open for facility access and personal/small group training only at this time. As our state moves closer to lifting capacity restrictions, we will expand our hours and begin to rebuild our indoor class offerings, so stay tuned for future updates.

Member Protocols
The following guidelines must be followed in order to visit EQ.

  • Properly fitting face covering must be worn over both nose and mouth at all times by all individuals inside the facility. This is non-negotiable. If you need a "mask break," please step outside.
  • By visiting the facility you are declaring that you have performed a self health check. If you have any symptoms of illness, or have been around anyone who has been sick, please do not come into the gym.
  • Please wash or sanitize your hands upon arrival. Hand sanitizer is available throughout the gym.
  • Please follow social distancing practices by allowing 6'+ spacing whenever possible.
  • Please wipe down the equipment you use. Spray bottles with disinfectant and towels have been added to the gym in addition to the wipes stations. The disinfectant spray is preferable to the wipes due to its stronger disinfection power and it produces less waste. Please spray the rag, then wipe instead of directly spraying machines. The free liquid can harm electronic and moving parts on the equipment if it drips into spaces.
Additional Information
Please consider the following items:

  • We highly recommend that everyone should receive the vaccination for COVID-19. It is the best thing for our community and our local businesses.

  • At this time we will not be utilizing a reservation system. Capacity will be observed by the Front Desk and access may be delayed if we have too many visitors at any given time. Peak times (8-10 am, 4-6 pm) could be most impacted so if you have flexibility to workout during non-peak hours, please do so. If capacity becomes a consistent issue, we will add a reservation system.

  • If your membership has been on hold, you can restart your membership by replying to this email, or by simply coming in to notify the front desk.

  • If you have been renting equipment, you may continue your rental while we are operating at reduced capacity. If you are ready to return your equipment, it can be dropped off anytime. For larger items that may need pick up, please reply to this email.

  • If you have not exercised consistently in many months, please start slow. Building consistency and avoiding injuries will yield greater long term health benefits. If you need assistance creating a routine to get started, we recommend scheduling a personal training session.
