Monday, March 19, began the 36th day of the 2018 legislative session. Last week brought a calendar full of committee hearings, policy debate and floor votes. The House and Senate continued to pass bills, now under consideration by Governor Deal. Initiatives for the benefit of our healthcare systems and our military remain as top priorities, as we make our way through the final days of session. Day 40, also known as Sine Die, which is scheduled for March 29 is right around the corner!

Below you will find my bill highlight covering the last six legislative days. Please reach out to me with questions or concerns regarding legislation.

March 16, after our week of session concluded, Casey and I flew to Canada for the weekend to participate in proceedings of the International Trade Legislative Conference. Only a few selected legislators from the US, Mexico and Canada took part in the event. It was truly humbling to be involved with this and I look forward to sharing more information as final negotiations between Mexico, Canada and the U.S. are worked out.

I will be back next week with the latest news from Capitol Hill! Thank you for your prayers and support as we make our way towards day 40. As always, let me know if there is anything I can do for you!
