Dear Friends,

January has brought fresh beginnings and notable changes as we welcome the new year. With the recent presidential inauguration, the nation embarks on a new chapter of leadership and progress. Meanwhile, cold weather has made its mark, with snowstorms reaching unexpected areas of the state. We also had the state legislature kick off its 2025 Legislative Session with committee meetings. Despite the chill, there’s plenty of energy and optimism to keep us moving forward this January!



Samantha Rosenberg, my Legislative Aide, had the chance to play in the snow as the Capitol and the rest of Tallahassee froze over!  

For me, the highlight of the month was being able to attend the inauguration of President Donald Trump with my wife Maggie. We had the incredible honor to witness this historic event amongst fellow patriots. We were also able to see many friends and acquaintances, including our newly appointed Florida Senator Ashley Moody, Mike Huckabee, Senator Rick Scott, and many more!

Our district had the privilege of appointing new sheriffs in both counties that I serve and represent in Tallahassee. It was an honor to attend the swearing in of Sheriff Richard Del Toro of St. Lucie County as well as Sheriff John Budensiek of Martin County.

It was great to attend the RPOF conference in Orlando! I had the opportunity to connect with fellow Florida Republican leaders, including Congressman Byron Donalds and Patty Marchesi!

The Republican Party of St. Lucie County invited me to speak at their January meeting. Such a wonderful group of patriotic folks working hard to keep Florida free!

Martin County held its delegation meeting earlier this month. I, along with Senator Gayle Harrell and Representative John Snyder, had the opportunity to hear from our constituents.

Constituent Services:

An elderly gentleman in the district recently reached out to my office in a state of distress. He had sold his vehicle to a private citizen and believed he had completed all the necessary paperwork correctly. However, he was caught off guard when he received a call informing him that the car had been in an accident and was now in a tow yard, and he was being held responsible for the towing charges and storage fees. He had made several attempts to resolve the issue by working directly with the DHSMV and even visiting their local office, but he had no luck. As the companies involved began threatening legal action, he contacted my office for assistance. Our team was able to help him connect with the appropriate DHSMV team to work with them to correct the paperwork on their end. As a result, he was no longer held responsible for the vehicle or the accumulating fees.

The next several weeks will be very busy for me and my team as the legislative session approaches, but we are excited about all that we will accomplish for our state and district.
