Dear Friends,

November was a whirlwind of activity, filled with important moments and meaningful occasions. The election reminded us of the power of our voices and the privilege of participating in democracy. Veterans Day offered a special opportunity to honor the brave individuals who have served our nation, protecting the freedoms we cherish. Alongside these milestones, I stayed busy with exciting events and conferences that brought people together and inspired new ideas.

Thank you for putting your trust in me and voting for me to serve another term as your Florida State House Representative for District 85. On Election Day, I joined Congressman Brian Mast for an evening of celebration for both of our victories! Afterward, I was invited to sit down with Dan Bongino to talk about the election and Florida.

Soon after celebrating my re-election, I joined Speaker Danny Perez and other State House members in Tallahassee to be sworn into my fourth and final term.

Kicking off November, I attended the Mark Garwood Scholarship Shoot for the Stars event. This is an incredible foundation that provides academic scholarships for amazing folks who have overcome addiction. I had the privilege of meeting Jo Coleman, one of the recipients and chatting with her about her ambitions to become a lawyer.

The St. Lucie Republican Club put on a fantastic event in November in support of President Trump. It's always great to gather with my fellow public servants and friends in the community.

My wife, Maggie, and I were honored to support the Wounded Veterans Relief Fund at their 13th Annual Fundraiser at the Raymond F. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts.

My team and I were thrilled to support and participate in the Family Promise Annual Bed Race Competition. I'm honored to say that our team took home the first-place trophy for the 2nd year in a row!  #TeamToby

The Treasure Coast Children's Museum is incredible, and this past month, they held a fantastic event that I was able to attend. My team was honored to sponsor a decorated Christmas tree for the fundraiser auction. The museum also hosted a beautiful breakfast, which my legislative aide Samantha attended.

This past month, our nation got to celebrate our courageous veterans, and here in the district, we celebrated as well! One of my favorite Veterans Day events is the Annual Veterans Bridge Run, which I was able to participate in this year. My team and I were also able to join the parade in Stuart and then join the Port Saint Lucie community for their celebration.

This month, I was able to attend two fantastic conferences. The first being in Oklahoma City for the National Summit on Education. The second is the National Council of Insurance Legislators in San Antonio. I learned so much from both conferences and am excited to bring this information back to the district.

Rounding off November, I was able to spend the Thanksgiving holiday with my beautiful family and, of course, cook the perfect turkey. Even the dogs agreed!

Constituent Services:

A constituent recently reached out to us regarding a delay in her unemployment benefits and needed assistance. My team worked quickly to address her concerns, ensuring she received the support required to expedite the processing of her funds. If you're experiencing similar issues or need help with any other concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We're here to assist you and make sure you get the support you deserve.

As we look ahead to December, we are excited for this season of giving, celebration, and cherished time with loved ones. May your holiday season be filled with warmth, joy, and peace. Stay safe, and thank you for being a part of this journey with me.

Sincerely,

Rep. Toby Overdorf
