Dear Friends,

The third week of the 2025 Legislative Session was both fruitful and exciting as we continue to focus on important policies that will influence Florida's future. This week has been packed with valuable discussions and chances to enhance our state, from pushing forward legislation to collaborating with leaders from various sectors.

I had the privilege of presenting HB 433: Administrative Procedures, a bill aimed at updating Florida's administrative procedures to promote greater efficiency and transparency in our regulatory framework. Additionally, I joined Senator Stan McClain and Representative Danny Alvarez at a press conference to announce the upcoming mini-series adaptation of A Land Remembered, a project that will honor Florida's history and bolster our expanding film industry. This week provided chances to engage with leaders in agriculture, education, and business, including events like the Taste of Florida Agriculture Reception and BOMA and FSU Day at the Capitol. These gatherings showcased the various sectors that propel our state forward and emphasize the need for collaboration to ensure Florida's future.

As the legislative session continues, I'm dedicated to achieving significant outcomes for our district and all residents of Florida. I look forward to keeping you informed in the coming weeks!

The 42nd Annual King of the Hill Softball Game was an amazing evening of friendly rivalry and teamwork! It was wonderful to join my colleagues on the field again for this bipartisan event, uniting members of the House, Senate, and first responders for a night of fun. I can't wait for next year's game! ⚾💪

I enjoyed speaking to the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) and listening to Lee Moffitt, whose perspectives on industry growth and policy were extremely helpful. BOMA is essential in supporting commercial real estate interests, advancing sustainability, and influencing policies that affect property owners and managers throughout Florida. I'm grateful for the chance to engage with industry leaders dedicated to enhancing our state's economic and infrastructure development!

It was a privilege to be at a press conference for the new mini-series adaptation of A Land Remembered, where I joined Senator Stan McClain and Representative Danny Alvarez. This amazing project, shot entirely in Florida, will showcase our state's vibrant history, varied landscapes, and agricultural traditions, while also supporting Florida's film industry and local economies. I look forward to witnessing this story unfold and honoring the legacy of our wonderful state!

This week, we had the Taste of Florida Agriculture Reception at the Capitol. I had the opportunity to meet farmers, ranchers, and industry leaders who contribute to Florida's agricultural achievements. Agriculture is essential to our state, and this event was a wonderful chance to honor the dedicated people who nourish our communities and support our economy!

Celebrating FSU Day at the Capitol was wonderful! It was great to highlight the university's influence on education, research, and leadership in Florida. I loved meeting students, faculty, and alumni who are helping to shape our state's future. Go Noles!

It was an honor to present HB 433: Administrative Procedures, a bill aimed at modernizing Florida's administrative procedures to improve efficiency, transparency, and regulatory processes. Chapter 120 has not been updated in years, and this legislation ensures our procedures remain clear, streamlined, and effective. I'm grateful for the support of my colleagues and the Government Operations Subcommittee for advancing this important reform!

This week, I had the pleasure of meeting with the Florida Land Council to discuss their legislative priorities and how the state can help the members better steward their lands.

A bill that I was excited to present was HB 921: Required Instruction in Cursive Writing, which is aimed at maintaining the teaching of cursive writing in Florida schools. Cursive writing is a valuable skill that boosts literacy, cognitive growth, and understanding of history, allowing students to read and write in cursive for future generations. I'm grateful for the backing from my colleagues as we strive to preserve this essential skill in our education system!

Representatives from the Florida Credit Union Association stopped by to talk to me about their legislative goals and how they contribute to enhancing financial security for people in Florida. I value their dedication to offering important financial services and supporting policies that help communities throughout our state!

I had a great time meeting with Martin County School Board Members, Jennifer Russell and Marsha Powers. We spoke about their legislative goals and the future of education in our community. I value their commitment to delivering excellent education for our students and am eager to back policies that enhance our schools!

It was an honor to meet with Commissioner James Clasby and have the opportunity to connect on important issues. I appreciate the discussion and look forward to working together!

Thank you to the students, faculty, and alumni who dropped in to my office during FSU Day at the Capitol! It was fantastic to honor the university's role in education, research, and leadership in Florida. I'm proud to back the Seminole community and the positive influence they have on our state! Go Noles!

I was privileged to meet the remarkable young women from the HYPE (Helping Youth Pursue Excellence) coalition when they visited the Capitol on March 18. These committed students from St. Lucie County are actively contributing to their community by emphasizing substance use prevention, mental health support, and leadership. Their enthusiasm and dedication to fostering positive change truly inspire me, and I'm excited to witness the influence they will have as they grow into future leaders!

It was a pleasure to meet with members of the Treasure Coast Women's Republican Club. We had a meaningful and motivating discussion about the key issues affecting our community. I appreciate their dedication to promoting policies that uphold our values and enhance the quality of life for everyone.
