QUARTER NOTES
Special Issue
July 2020
Even in hard times, people continue to spread kindness and goodwill.
Bringing Music to Life needs to raise an additional $10,000 ($5,000 from individual donors with a $5,000 philanthropic match) to finish repairing the instruments so generously donated in the March Instrument Drive. Normally, we would have received those essential funds during and after the drive but as we all know, this year has been anything but "normal".
We remain committed to only providing instruments that are in excellent playable condition. Our repair partners, the Colorado Institute of Musical Instrument Technology (pictured above) and Boomer Music, already help us by performing their work at deep discounts. And now one of our most generous and constant supporters has offered $5,000 in matching money. This match doubles your gift - $10 becomes $20, $50 becomes $100 and $100 becomes $200. No one has to do it all, but if everyone does a little, our goal is within reach.
This fundraiser and our opportunity to utilize the $5,000 match will end July 31st. Although we are uncertain how and when Colorado's schools will reopen, we are determined to have instruments in our children's hands by the fall.
In times of great uncertainty, it is grounding to focus on that which is certain:
Our children are worthy of lives made richer by music.
Your support is enormously appreciated.
The pandemic will eventually end.
