AG can’t prosecute doctors for referring women across state lines for abortion, judge says

Federal judge B. Lynn Winmill issued an order on Monday stating the Idaho Attorney General cannot prosecute medical providers for referring their patients out of state for abortion care. Within hours, the office of AG Raúl Labrador filed its intent to appeal.

Judge allows 'cruel and unusual punishment' lawsuit for repeated death warrants

"Defendants’ alleged practice of keeping Pizzuto in a state of perpetual terror by scheduling and re-scheduling his execution, despite knowing that the lethal injection almost certainly will not be performed, plausibly constitutes cruel and unusual punishment in violation of the Eighth Amendment,” federal judge B. Lynn Winmill wrote this week, allowing litigation to move forward against the AG and Department of Correction.

Where did we get $300 million for property tax relief?

“It’s very complex. It is not an easy programming task,” IT Resource Manager Janet James at the tax commission told Idaho Reports. “We’re still working on programming, and then we’re going to spend a lot of time testing it before we release it to the counties.”
