Dear sisters and brothers in Christ Jesus, part of a growing repentance remnant globally,
Our ancestors having rebelled, you and I were born into rebellion as children of wrath (Ephesians 2:3). By the precious Blood of the Lamb, when you and I repented to enter His Kingdom (Matthew 4:17), and then sincerely believed that He rose from the dead, and we asked Him to be Lord of our lives, THEN you and I became TRANSFORMED into children of God: " But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name." ~John 1:12
We have some, perhaps many, sitting in Christian pews today--- and some behind pulpits--- who missed the first step set forth in Matthew 4:17. They did not originally sincerely repent, change direction 180 degrees, to come into His Kingdom. They are playing church. They still are children of wrath. And they are especially prone to being exposed to the rebellious Jezebel Spirit.
We learn in Numbers 16: 28-30 that God's judgment was swift against rebellious Korah and his family. The Lord caused the earth to open its mouth and he and his family went into the pit. Korah had exalted his will above that of Moses. Likewise today, a Jezebelite, a person bound by that Jezebel spirit, operates out of rebellion to authority. Thinking they have heard from God, becoming their own idol, that person will believe his or her assessment of a pastor's leadership is correct, and, often manipulating others to join, will attempt to launch a revolt. Instead of serving God humbly, instead of "endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace" (Ephesians 4:3) rebellion drives their actions. Since God places all authority in position, rebellion against that authority is lawlessness against God. In contrast, you and I are to follow Philippians 2:3: " Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each of you esteem others better than himself."
Tomorrow, June 23, at 2 PM Eastern time USA we will hold, God willing, another one hour Zoom meeting on a key sin of which we ALL have at least a residue, given that we were all born children of wrath: the spirit of Jezebel. Having confessed this sin, and then having repented, we can experience the Holy Spirit 's peace!
To cleanse to get ready for Him, join me during that meeting in removing any iniquities that may still be part of that old sin pattern.
