Dear brothers and sisters in our Lord Jesus, part of the growing repentance remnant, members of His flock, of which Jesus is the Shepherd (John 10:16), Jesus being the first to preach His gift of repentance (Matthew 4:17), now calling on each of us also to preach repentance (Luke 24:47).
God's GIFT of repentance, like His Blood, operates personally.
But it also attains great power when practiced together, collectively.
The Pilgrims knew this over 400 years ago in this nation. Facing no food from a dying corn crop in midst of a devastating heat wave, they called for a day of "humiliation, fasting and prayer." Some stayed in their homes in their prayer closets; some joined at the church. Virtually all joined in repentance.
Later that afternoon " a sweet, gentle rain" was sent by a Loving God from heaven!
The drought was broken; the food was saved; and they were further united in giving thanks to Almighty God for His Solution based on His Word and His Gift.
This is still true today. His Word is still worthy of being followed. The Solution calls for "MY people called by My name......."
This Saturday, October 31, the Nehemiah Alliance will hold a time of prayer and repentance, a sacred assembly, on the Mall in Washington DC.

When you and I call on His Solution, such as in 2 Chronicles 7:14, He hears from heaven, forgives sin and heals our nation.
The Book of Nehemiah teaches us repentance. After the joyful festival we read about in chapter 8 of Nehemiah, the next step, chapter 9, as with chapter nine in Ezra and in Daniel confessing personal and national sins , point us to their obedience to God by then repenting.
Repentance calls on God's grace and prevented the joy from being superficial.
Those in Nehemiah's day knew the need for collective repentance:
Now on the twenty-fourth day of this month the Israelites assembled with fasting and in sackcloth and with dirt on their heads. The descendants of Israel (Jacob) separated themselves from all foreigners, and stood and confessed their sins and the wrongdoings of their fathers. While they stood in their places, they read from the Book of the Law of the Lord their God for a fourth of the day and for another fourth [of it] they confessed [their sins] and worshiped the Lord their God. (Nehemiah 9:1-3)
His gift of repentance, dormant for so long, is now being spread, nation to nation. The focus rightfully is on us believers in Him, in any nation, using His Holly Word to heal a nation. Even if the Word, 2 Chronicles 7:13,14, was given to King Solomon 3,000 years ago, it is ALIVE today.
Among the many issues on which we can repent, one issue is our failure to preach repentance and to make disciples as the Risen Christ clearly commanded. (Matthew 28:19.20, Luke 24:47).
His Godly Solution using repentance worked to heal the drought in Corpus Christi Texas this year; now it is being applied this coming October 31 in both the USA on the Mall in DC, thanks to the Nehemiah Alliance, and also on October 31 in Australia.
This will be Australia's third such national day of repentance this year; another such day is planned for November.
And now South Africa is planning its national day of repentance for this coming Monday, November 2, 2026.
