Dear Marina Coast Water District Customer,
We have received reports from customers that individuals are going door-to-door showing fake water district name badges, claiming that tap water is unsafe, and offering to sell water filtration systems. We received similar reports in December, notified you, and are now receiving them again.
Our state-certified water quality professionals work around the clock, conducting over 2,000 tests yearly to ensure your water meets all quality standards. These tests are performed by independent, state-certified laboratories and are automatically reported to the state. You can trust the quality of your water.
You may want to be cautious about anyone asking to enter your home and test your water. Marina Coast Water District (MCWD) employees will never ask to enter your home to sample or examine your water without your prior knowledge or request. If you want to verify that someone at your door is from MCWD, please call our office at (831) 384-6131 for verification. Your safety and the quality of our water supply are our top priorities.
