Republic Band Families,

The Republic School District Board of Education is pleased to name Mr. Ryan Henigman as the new Director of Republic Bands effective July 1, 2022. Mr. Henigman currently serves as the Director of Bands at Shawnee Public Schools in Shawnee, OK. Prior to this he served as an Assistant Band Director at Stillwater Public Schools and Band Director at Pryor Junior High. 

Throughout his 14 years in band education Mr. Henigman has developed a wealth of knowledge and experience in leading successful band programs that will serve our band community well. His former concert, chamber ensembles and marching bands have received superior ratings at the district and state levels. Mr. Henigman is known for his ability to effectively communicate with students and families, and is committed to building strong relationships, as well.

When asked about joining the Republic School District Mr. Henigman said, “I am so excited to join the Republic Schools community. It is an honor being chosen to continue building on the current foundation of the band program, cast new vision for our students and staff, and help to give our students a successful and meaningful music education.”

Mr. Henigman plans to come meet the band students in the near future. Once that date is confirmed it will be shared.
