Notice: Request for Public Comment

Although summer was packed with sun and fun, the Government Relations committee continued to monitor legislative action as it relates to the licensure of Massage and Bodywork Therapy. The most recent change to N.J.S.A.45.11 is the requirement of education and examination for license eligibility.

That change occurred with the adoption of S2414, in May, 2017. The new law went into effect September 2017. With the expertise of Princeton Public Affairs Group, NJ-AMTA Government Relations worked hard to support and advocate for this change. This requirement does not apply to licensees who were licensed prior to September 2017. To complete the legislative process the bill is now open for
public comment. Please refer to the link attached here, should you choose to comment.

As always, If you have questions, concerns or problems regarding licensure, please reach out via email
and we will do our best to help you.

´╗┐Enjoy the colors of the season and be well!

Sincerely Yours,
Cynthia Sinicropi-Philibosian, LMBT
Chair, NJ-AMTA Government Relations
