Speaker Proposal Submission Information
The TAM Professional Development Conference provides attendees with relevant and engaging presentations by experts in the field of mediation as well as related forms of alternative dispute resolution (ADR). Presentations addressing current/emerging trends and ethical considerations in the field of mediation and related ADR are particularly welcome.
Presentation Guidelines
- Breakout session presentations will be 60 to 75 minutes, including 10 minutes for Q&A.
- Plenary session presentations may be 75 to 90 minutes, including 10 minutes for Q&A.
- In an effort to offer new voices and perspectives, preference will be given to speakers who did not present at the 2026 TAM Conference.

The deadline for Speaker Proposals is August 15, 2026.
Session Information and Description
- Include a session title that reflects the presentation topic.
- Provide a brief description or synopsis of your presentation in 50 to 75 words or less which includes three (3) educational objectives of the presentation and proposed length of the presentation.
- Indicate whether your presentation includes an ethics component and the number of presentation minutes devoted to ethical considerations in mediation.
- Upload a current resume/vitae detailing mediation/ADR presentation experience.
Speaker Biography and Photo
- Provide a speaker bio in paragraph form that is 120 words or less and begins with the speaker’s name.
- Upload a high-resolution, color headshot photo of each speaker in a separate JPEG file.
If selected to speak, you will need to submit the following on or before January 15, 2027:
- PowerPoints, articles, and/or supporting materials (in PDF format) to include in Conference materials made available to registrants prior to the Conference
NOTE: All conference sessions must meet the criteria for mediator continuing education as defined by the Texas Mediator Credentialing Association and accreditation by the State Bar of Texas for continuing legal education related to ADR. Topics related to mindset, personal growth, training in personal organizational skills, general office skills, time management, and leadership do not qualify as continuing education for mediators in Texas.
In gratitude to our speakers, TAM will provide complimentary conference registration and one (1) night hotel stay at the group rate.
