Scheduling Your Inspection:
Requesting Call Ahead, Two-Hour Window
Dear Valued Customer,

Scheduling inspections is an important part of the construction process. To ensure that you know when your project will be inspected and to give you notice before an inspector begins to travel to your site, there are two methods you can use when scheduling your inspections, both utilizing the comment box that is available when requesting an inspection.

When you schedule an inspection via the Develop 901 Portal, choose your preferred day. The available time slot shown is All Day, from 7 am to 3 pm. This is a good option for sites that are well attended by staff, crew, contractors, and/or homeowners. However, we understand that specific time windows can be helpful for projects where availability for anyone attending to the project site is limited.

In order to receive a two-hour window for your inspection, type into the inspection request comment box “Need time” followed by your preferred method of communication: text, call, or email. Please make sure to leave your preferred number or email address. The inspector who receives your scheduling request will see this information and will be able to contact you via your chosen method to share your two-hour window.

So, if you wanted to request a two-hour window and have an inspector contact you by text, you would type into the inspection request comment box “Need time text 555-5555.” Please note that the inspector will follow-up about your two-hour window on the morning of your inspection via your preferred contact method.

If you would like for the inspector to call you approximately 30 minutes before arriving at the site, type into the comment box “Call ahead” followed by your preferred phone number. Please be advised that in receiving a call from the inspector that your phone may register the call as blocked or as an unknown number.
