Hope this email finds you well on this 4th day of June as we the sun sets later and later for a couple of more weeks.
While these updates are hardly in competition with the sun, or any celestial bodies, they do tend to show up every weekday and include an attempt at humor while reminding you of various points of interests...
Some of you may be aware of this petition that has been put out by the neighborhood group Carroll Gardens Coalition For Respectful Development (often referred to as CG CORD) to have us at BKCB6 host joint agency public meetings about Gowanus rezoning impacts. We agree that this is an excellent idea. We are in the process of requesting just that in the hope that the Commissioners in charge of the respective agencies are willing and able to honor our requests and be active participants. Of course, we are an advisory entity, so please keep in mind that as such we can ask in a polite but assertive way, we lack the power to compel attendance on a specific date or any date for that matter, but we will make a good faith effort to pull this off.
