Expert Panelists Discuss Domestic Violence
Our Domestic Violence Panel hosted by CWNY President Victoria Pilotti on February 12 was a great success. Expert panelists addressed this critical topic, followed by Q & A periods. Among the panelists were Susan Jacob, Executive Director, New York City Family Justice Center; Sergeant Joseph Alohan, NYPD Domestic Violence Unit; Amanda Burden, Training and Outreach Supervisor, & Rita Abadi, LMHC, Mount Sinai Sexual Assault Violence Intervention Program (SAVI); Shilpi Chatterjee, Domestic Violence Program Advocate, Sakhi for South Asian Women; Jennifer Ruiz Diaz, Sexual Violence Project Coordinator, Violence Intervention Program, Inc. Women's Rights Poster Contest Winners Announced
CWNY invited students in grades 5 – 12 in the five boroughs to create an original poster reflecting a women’s rights theme, and submit it via photograph. We received a wonderful set of submissions.
