Attention: Rescue Groups in the Pittsburgh and Surrounding Area:
Can we count on your participation again this year?
*You do not need to have a booth at the show to participate, but if you are a booth exhibitor, you wont want to miss this and we will work with your dogs!!!!
No Dog Left Behind - We have classes for all coat types, breeds, mix breeds and sizes:
- Short and Sassy - smooth and short coated dogs; all sizes

Furry and Fabulous - medium length coat or double coated
- Stacked and Styled - long and flowing, curly and wire coats
We have already secured a need for the following dogs this weekend and are expecting more!
Friday 14 rescue dogs
Saturday 12 rescue dogs
- 2 Short and Sassy,
- 1 Furry and Fabulous,
- 9 Stacked and Styled
Sunday 10 dogs
- 3 Short and Sassy,
- 1 Furry and Fabulous.

Biogroom's generous donation of a wide selection of shampoos and conditioners, every dog will look and feel sensational!
*Biogroom also donates 3 $150 gift certificates to 3 Rescue Groups
- 1 - awarded to the group that donates the most dogs this weekend
- 2 - in draws for all rescue groups who donate dogs
* Petcurean dog food is also providing a box of dog food samples to each groups that donates dogs this weekend.
- Groom and Zoom and Sonya Patterson, are back again this year, donating 2 mobile vans to bathe the dogs. She will also have a Nature's Specialties booth at the show and is accepting new clients. Sonya also sponsors the competitions.
- Happy Hoodies and Earth Heart's Canine Calm was used on any dogs that were nervous to help clam them and make the experience a relaxing one
- Groomer's R.E.S.T is also joining our compassion and care sponsors this year; to make it easier and more comfortable for dogs on the grooming table, if required. (Noralee will also have a booth at the show, if you need to purchase one).
Compassion and Care are definitely a priority for the dogs as IJA continues in our quest to raise the standards of safety for all animals.
Potential owners watch anxiously outside the competition ring, to say, "I have fallen in love with this one; I want to adopt him today".
Yes groomers, rescue groups and the audience will be touched each day; and to those who are pre-approved, they may find their forever friend this weekend.

Weekend Competition Times:
- Friday, October 28 - 5 pm - 9 pm - dogs to check in at 3 pm
- Saturday, October 29 - 10 am - 2 pm - dogs check in at 8 am
- Sunday, October 30 - 10 am - 2 pm - dogs check in at 8 am
30- 40 Rescue dogs will be groomed and styled that weekend in 3 competitions to capture the hearts of pet lovers All breeds, mixed breeds and sizes and coat type to ensure "No dog is left behind". From a Jack Russell, Boxer to a Great Pyrenees and Golden Doodle, we help find homes for them all!
IJA has tried to widen the scope to include as many different breeds, sizes and coat types as possible to help increase the chances for adoption.
We are asking for the following:
- Your confirmed participation commitment by

- The minimum number of dogs you commit to bring by
- The breed type, size and details by
Monday October 24 2016
We completely understand that you may not know all of the details until the event is closer, but if you want to participate then please let us know before
Monday September 26, 2016.
** The dogs can be in foster homes but need to be adoptable!! The goal is to find homes for those who do have a place to call home, so being adoptable is a must.
