Vitamin D - Understanding Bone and Brain Health for Post-Menopausal Women

About: This study examines how Vitamin D use may influence bone and brain health in post‑menopausal women. The goal is to support this population through clearer, evidence-based knowledge. 



Who: They are looking for postmenopausal females aged 50-70 with at least 2 years since their last menstrual cycle. Participants must not be taking menopausal hormonal therapy (HRT), have an oophorectomy, hysterectomy, or endometriosis. diagnosed with: bone diseases (e.g., osteoporosis), metabolic disorder (e.g., diabetes, metabolic syndrome), neurological disorder (e.g., dementia), or neurodevelopmental disorder (e.g., ADHD)



Help Improve Air Travel for People Living with Dementia

Who: They are looking for people who have experienced a stroke more than 6-months ago, who are having issues with walking and standing due to stroke, are using a walking aid, and can stand up from a chair.




Hearing and the Brain

About: This study looks to understand their lived experiences as an older person, including their thoughts and beliefs surrounding their age, their perceived role in society, perspectives on the environments in which they live and their access to health and social services.

Cognitive and Brain Health

About: This study looks at possible neural markers of subjective cognitive decline (when you feel that something has changed (i.e., memory) and you are concerned). They are still recruiting for the SYNERGIC2 trial that provides non-pharmacological interventions virtually to improve brain health in people with mild cognitive impairment.

Meaning of Aging

About: The study aims to explore the meaning attributed to aging and old age as well as the place of older adults in our society. This study is being conducted entirely independently by the principal investigator, Martine Lagacé, a master’s candidate in Public Ethics at St-Paul University.
