Sharpening Your Focus: Tips on Grant Proposal Preparation
Brave Renew World
|
|
If your NIH grant is eligible for renewal (R03s and R21s are not, for example, but many R01s are—check the FOA and talk to a program officer), you will want to start planning your application well before you start running out of funding. Consider whether it makes sense to continue with the same long-term goal you began (science evolves, after all) and whether your overarching research question is still as significant as it was when you submitted your original proposal. For more information on submitting successful renewals, read the full

Revised Escalation Plan for UMOR Controlled Substances Monitoring Program
|
|
In an effort to further strengthen, safeguard, and support research at the University of Michigan, the U-M Office of Research (UMOR) Controlled Substances Monitoring Program has introduced a
revised escalation plan for
individuals who use controlled substances in research.
Central to the plan is an institutional commitment to increased transparency through more clearly defined roles/responsibilities for research personnel to remain in compliance, as well as the development of a corrective action process that outlines the steps that may be taken by UMOR in instances of continued and/or serious non-compliance with U-M, state, and federal policies and regulations. Two town halls will be held to discuss the changes and answer questions on
Monday, April 8 and
Wednesday, April 17.
