Effective January 2023, NIH will require researchers to include a data management plan in their grant applications to make their data publicly available.

NIH is implementing this change to advance rigorous and reproducible research, make high-value datasets accessible and increase opportunities for citation and collaboration.

Purpose: The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) is accepting applications for the Rural Public Health Workforce Training Network Technical Assistance Program (RPHWTN-TAP). The purpose of this cooperative agreement is to support a single organization that will provide technical assistance (TA) to rural health care networks in order to strengthen their ability to expand public health capacity by supporting health care job development, training and placement in rural and tribal communities.

The purpose of this funding opportunity is to provide an opportunity for funded researchers in these various fields to pursue supplemental funding to conduct research addressing these emerging and other existing COVID-related issues among pregnant and lactating people, infants, children and adolescents, and individuals with physical and/or intellectual disabilities. The goal of this NOSI is to not replace or to compete with the various COVID-related funding opportunities currently available. Instead, the purpose is to complement them by offering a funding opportunity for currently funded investigators to address key issues not currently covered by available COVID-related funding announcements among these populations. 

Description: This Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) solicits applications for three-year demonstration projects to study the feasibility of, and develop best practices for, using interoperable health information from older adult research participants. Applicants must partner with one or more actively funded research studies that are enrolling or re-consenting older adult participants. The projects are required to collect medical information from electronic health records (EHRs) shared by participants, combine the information inside of a digital infrastructure, and create approaches to harmonize the data across patients and providers. The projects should also develop approaches to analyze health conditions prevalent in older adults in the harmonized medical data through informatic methods, such as natural language processing. Proposals should consider the potential impact of the project on the outcomes of the partner study, as well as broader impacts overall.
