eRA Alert: Action Required for In-Progress RPPR Budget Forms Due to RPPR Update June 23; Updated RPPR Instruction Guide Available

eRA.jpg

The Research Performance Progress Report (RPPR) Module in eRA Commons is moving to the new visual appearance being adopted by other eRA modules, because of a required technology upgrade that enhances the security and stability of the module.

The refreshed screens will be rolled out on Thursday, June 23, 2022.

All screens are being transitioned to the new look. The upgrade includes the addition of the new unique entity identifier (UEI) fields where applicable and required FORMS-G changes, including updated budget forms.

An updated, initial RPPR Instruction Guide was issued on May 13 to reflect changes associated with recently issued guide notices on Other Support and Biosketch format pages, human subjects, Trainee Diversity Report (see NOT-OD-22-130 for details).

PCORI – Health System Strategies to Address Disparities in Hypertension Management & Control

Description: The Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) is seeking to fund high-quality comparative effectiveness research (CER) that compares health system strategies to address disparities in hypertension management and control.

PCORI’s Targeted PFA is soliciting applications that respond to the following question: What is the comparative effectiveness of health system strategies to improve hypertension control for populations experiencing disparities in hypertension control and associated health outcomes, e.g., Black, Hispanic, rural, and/or uninsured individuals?

PCORI is particularly interested in multi-site cluster randomized trials in community, primary care, or safety net settings (i.e., providers that organize and deliver a significant level of health care to uninsured, Medicaid, and other vulnerable patients). Studies should conduct periodic outcome assessment, including long term follow-up periods at or greater than 18 months. Studies should be powered to allow for conclusions regarding the populations of interest.

Closing Dates: Letter of Intent: June 1, 2022, Application: August 31, 2022

Leading Engineering for America's Prosperity, Health, and Infrastructure (LEAP HI)

Agency: National Science Foundation

Description: The LEAP HI program supports ambitious fundamental research projects that align with one or more CMMI core research areas and demonstrate significant potential for long-term impact on America's prosperity, health, and/or infrastructure. LEAP HI supports projects that are unsuitable for smaller teams or shorter project durations and do not have opportunities to apply for grants of similar size and duration in other, more topically-focused NSF solicitations. Integral to every LEAP HI project is an element that communicates to the public the leadership role of engineering in addressing critical societal needs and the excitement of being involved in that pursuit.

Announcement Number: NSF 22-594

Dates: Required Letter of Intent Due: July 15, 2022; Full Proposal Due: September 15, 2022

Notice of Special Interest (NOSI): Addressing Evidence Gaps in Screening

Release Date: May 13, 2022

First Available Due Date: June 15, 2022

Expiration Date: May 08, 2025

Purpose: The Office of Disease Prevention (ODP) and participating National Institutes of Health (NIH) Institutes, Centers, and Offices (ICs) are issuing this Notice of Special Interest (NOSI) to solicit applications proposing to strengthen the evidence base for preventive screening services where the evidence is lacking, of poor quality, conflicting, or the balance of benefits and harms cannot be determined. This NOSI encourages the development and use of innovative and rigorous methods and approaches to close high priority evidence gaps to elevate screening services to a level suitable for a definitive grade or recommendation. The specific research interests of participating NIH ICs are detailed within.
