The Research Track Faculty Excellence Awards recognize outstanding Research Track faculty whose work advances the institution’s mission through impactful research, innovation, collaboration, and mentorship.
Eligibility & Deadline
Research Track faculty appointment: Instructor, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor
Employed at UT Southwestern for a minimum of two years
Accepting nominations from January 15, 2026 to February 20, 2026
Award Categories
Early Career
Scholar Award
Honors a Research Track faculty member with early, notable contributions through collaboration or achievement, demonstrating strong potential to advance their research community.
Only Instructors and Assistant Professors are eligible*
Innovation Award
Honors a Research Track faculty member who has
demonstrated creativity and originality in their research, including novel methodologies, technologies, or approaches that advance their field or open new avenues for inquiry.
Mentoring Award
Honors a Research Track faculty member who demonstrates exceptional commitment to mentoring and fostering an inclusive, supportive research environment.
Catalyst for Collaboration Award
Honors a Research Track faculty member who sparks partnerships across departments and centers, connecting teams and disciplines.
