Over a short span of 3-5 years, we have seen a real change in owner's perspectives on energy efficiency and sustainability. In the "old" days, if the lease allowed for pass-through of most costs (e.g. triple net), the owner would tell us, "Why should I look into energy efficiency, when all the benefits accrue to the tenant?" Today, we rarely hear this response. What has changed?

Cleantech Innovators Networking Event: March 8
Join us for our first Cleantech Innovators Networking Event of the year on March 8 at Raleigh Brewing Company to hear from our newest members FieldVets, Etteplan, and Agilis Energy as they provide insight on how the Internet of Things is driving innovation in their companies.

RTCC Membership Orientation: March 8
RTCC hosts quarterly new member orientations for new, existing, and prospective members to learn about RTCC, our events, initiatives, benefits of membership, and opportunities for engagement for member companies and employees. This event takes place prior to our Cleantech Innovators Networking Event and is a great opportunity to meet other members who are new or active in RTCC.

RTCC Action Committees

RTCC's industry-led action committees provide members with opportunities to network with peers and to amplify their company's brand.

Talent Action Committee
Led by Preston Miller with Schneider Electric and Stephen Barrington with the Capital Area Workforce Development Board, the TAC focuses on increasing awareness of cleantech industry opportunities within the region and on sharing best practices between cleantech, HR leaders, e.g. university co-op programs. Contact Susan Sanford to get involved.

Programs & Communications Committee
Led by Alyssa Farrell with SAS and Linda Palmer with Sensus, the PAC focuses on conveying RTCC members' success stories from a customer perspective and identifying thought leaders for speaking opportunities. Contact Matt Abele to get involved.

Membership Development Committee

    EV Challenge
    When: April 7-8, 2017
    Where: NC Center for Automotive Research/NC State University
    The EV Challenge is hosting their Annual Event at the Joyner Visitor Center at NC State. Come out to see all electric STEM Cycles compete in acceleration tests and the all new STEM Cycle 500, a NASCAR-like experience but much quieter.

    Student teams will also compete in an EV quiz bowl, test their electrician troubleshooting skills and make presentations about how range impacts the adoption of EVs for the average consumer.
