The aim of the National Science Foundation’s Principles and Practice of Scalable Systems program is to support a community of researchers who will work symbiotically across multiple disciplines to perform basic research on scalability and correctness and accuracy of modern applications, systems, and toolchains built on heterogeneous architectures.

The Department of Health and Human Services,  National Cancer Institute’s Modulating Intestinal Microbiota to Enhance Protective Immune Responses against Cancer’s purpose is to support research that can elucidate mechanism(s) of action by which gut microbes inhibit or enhance anti-tumor immune responses.
