The ADEPT-4 Study

Description of trial: The purpose of this study is to evaluate the investigational medication of KarXT, which may help in the treatment of psychosis (delusions and/or hallucinations) in adults ages 55 to 90 years old with Alzheimer's disease. This is a Phase 3,randomized double-blind, placebo-controlled, parallel-group study to evaluate the safety and efficacy of KarXT in adult participants with mild to severe AD with moderate to severe psychosis related to AD. Participants may or may not have symptoms of agitation. You may receive compensation for your participation in the study. Travel expenses to and from the study site and meals while on site may be reimbursed.

The ITI-1284-201 Study

Description of trial: The ITI-1284-201 Study is for people with Alzheimer’s disease who are experiencing symptoms of psychosis. Patients who are experiencing symptoms are 55 years of age or older and have at least one caregiver who will be able to support them during the study. There are no drugs currently approved to treat symptoms of psychosis in Alzheimer’s disease. 

The purpose of the ITI-1284-201 Study is to look at how safe a potential new drug is and whether it works to reduce symptoms of psychosis in people with Alzheimer’s disease. If you and your caregiver take part, you will be in the ITI-1284-201 Study for up to 3.4 months. You will be randomly assigned to take either the investigational study drug or placebo once a day.

Headband for in Home Electromagnetic

Brain Stimulation

Description of trial: Hackensack Meridian Health is conducting a clinical research study using a non-invasive device (headband type device worn 2 to 3 times per day for 15 mins) with no known side effects to treat Alzheimer's dementia.

A Systematized Approach to Improve Memory

in Older Adults

Description of trial: This study investigates the effectiveness of a memory enhancement technique in adults 60 years and older. Participants are randomly assigned to either an active control group or treatment group. Both groups complete memory exercises. Participants who complete the study receive $300-$500.

Personalized Virtual Reality-based Training to

Improve Gait and Balance and Reduce Falls in

Older Adults with MCI

Description of trial: This study assesses the effectiveness of combining thinking tasks with walking training to improve walking and balancing ability and to reduce falls in older adults with mild cognitive impairment. Participants receive up to $150 for completing the study.

The BMS (MINDSET 2) Study

Description of trial: The BMS (MINDSET 2) study is for patients with cognitive impairment associated with Alzheimer’s disease who are 60-85. This is a placebo-controlled trial to determine if the medication is effective with cognitive decline.

The Trontier I and II Studies

Description of trial: The Trontier I and Trontier II studies are seeking participants 50-90 years old with early symptoms of Alzheimer’s disease or mild cognitive impairment (MCI) due to AD. The studies are testing an anti-amyloid therapy called Trontinemab to determine if it can slow the progression of cognitive and functional decline.
