Research and Sponsored Programs Update
CENTRAL CALIFORNIA RESEARCH SYMPOSIUM
More than 150 presenters participated in the 42nd annual Central California Research Symposium, which took place on April 14. Despite the pivot to a virtual format, we were thrilled to present the event, which celebrates undergraduate and graduate excellence in research and attracts presenters from many disciplines.

“The Symposium was our way of providing some sense of normalcy for our students and faculty in a challenging year,” said Dr. James Marshall, Dean of Research and Graduate Studies. “It illustrates the Bulldog spirit among students, staff, and faculty, who through concerted efforts, were able to be creative in their thinking and flexible in their planning.”
The complete list of award winners is available online. Special thanks to award sponsors UCSF-Fresno, the American Chemical Society, the Educational Employees Credit Union, the Division of Research and Graduate Studies, the College of Science and Mathematics, the Lyles College of Engineering, and the College of Social Sciences.

Kudos also to everyone who participated in this year’s event, including judges, moderators and our tech support team. Here’s hoping we’ll be able to see you all back in person at the Henry Madden Library for next year’s event in mid-April.
