Wei Wu (Construction Management) received a three-year, $345,237 grant from the National Science Foundation for Fresno State’s first NSF Mid-Career Advancement Award. Dr. Wu’s project focuses on designing engaging and inclusive STEM learning experiences with extended reality.

Jim Boren (MCJ) received a $35,000 grant from the McClatchy Foundation to support operations for the Students of Color Training Program, including student stipends and the Youth Leadership Institute.

Alejandro Calderon-Urrea (Biology) received Supplemental Funding for Equipment from NIH for his project, "Nematicidal Chalcones: A Genetic Approach to Uncovering the Action Mechanism."

Ginny Barnes (Library) received a $5,000 grant from California Humanities for her project, "Indigenous Wisdom: Celebrating our Central Valley Indigenous Elders."

Gurreet Brar (Plant Science) received a three-year grant from the Almond Board of California for his project, "Evaluation of Almond Rootstocks."
