The Importance of Supporting Community Health Workers


Envision Equity Community Health Worker (CHW) Training and Technical Assistance is a collaboration of CHWs and organizations working together to elevate the role of CHWs. Our Mobilizing Action Toward Community Health (MATCH) team partners in this work.


Envision director Sherri Ohly spoke about the importance of CHWs in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel's special feature on the toll of uncontrolled asthma. “Community health workers are integral for addressing health literacy in their communities, and they tend to provide more sustainable support to families than an emergency room doctor can." Read the full article here.
