Researchers Call Climate Change Goals Fanciful
A landmark agreement to cut global carbon output in hopes of curbing effects of climate change will take a "man-to-the-moon" effort, and it's not likely to happen, say two Texas researchers. The problem is people respond to immediate threats, such as a military attack, more promptly than they do phenomena such as climate change. Climate Policy Is Coming. Is Business Prepared?

Apple's Robot Rips Apart iPhones for Recycling
Apple has unveiled a robotic system called Liam to take apart junked iPhones and recover valuable materials that can be recycled, such as silver and tungsten. The move is an attempt to address criticism that Apple's products, while sleek and seamless in design, are so tightly constructed that their components can be difficult to disassemble, refurbish and reuse. Taking apart a phone every 11 seconds, the robot can strip a few million phones per year. Read more...

Fetzer Vineyards announced that it will become the first American winery to use the closed-loop biological wastewater treatment system to process 100 percent of its winery wastewater. Powered by billions of earthworms working rapidly in concert with beneficial microbes, the BIDA® System will begin processing Fetzer Vineyards' wastewater during the 2016 harvest season, accruing energy savings up to 85 percent over current wastewater treatment technologies.
