Rest in Peace: Laura Hudak

Laura T. Hudak began her journey home on Wednesday, November 6, 2024. Laura was a long time active parishioner of St Antoninus. She served in the healing and prophetic ministries for many years.

She was 94 years old.

Fr Joseph celebrated her Funeral Mass at St Agnes in Clark, NJ, last Wednesday, November 13.

Eternal rest grant unto Laura Hudak,

O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May her soul and the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

Tomorrow, Saturday!

Tuesday, November 26:

On Tuesday, November 26, we are teaming up with the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal (CFR's) to host a Thanksgiving outreach for our neighbors. Unlike the previous years when we handed out bags of food, this year it will be an actual sit-down early-Thanksgiving Day meal. All the food and utentils will be provided by the Friends of CFR's and our part at St. Antoninus is to help welcome and serve those who will come to the party.

Come at 10:30am to the prayer service in our Church to pray with our patrons. Then proceed to the church hall to for the neighborhood party at 11:30am.

Thursday, November 28:

THANKSGIVING DAY is on Thursday November 28!

Start your Thanksgiving Day celebration with Jesus.

This is a special time to remember with joyful gratitude all the amazing gifts that our Lord has been lavishing upon us. And there is more!

Sunday, November 30:

The Great Solemnity

of Christ the King

Therefore God also highly exalted him

    and gave him the name

    that is above every name,

so that at the name of Jesus

    every knee should bend,

in heaven and on earth and under the earth,

and every tongue should confess

    that Jesus Christ is Lord,

to the glory of God the Father

Philippians 2:9-11

The feast of Christ the King is always a great celebration at St Antoninus, when we bow our heads and declare our wholehearted allegiance to Jesus, our Lord and King. We will have extended prayer time during the Mass for a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon each of us and upon this parish. And following Mass, we will go on Christ the King procession around our neighborhood.

This totally makes sense. Empowered and loved, we go out and give Jesus to those around us.

“Again Jesus said, ‘Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.'” John 20:21

This is awesome!

What is the priest thinking when you make your confession? Fr. Mike reveals the answer in this video .

Many times as Catholics we are asked, "Where is Confession in the Bible?" Hear Fr. Chris Alar, MIC, explain where it is in the Bible and why Jesus told us that we need to go to the priest.
