About the ReadyNation Brain Science Speakers Bureau

With generous support from the Bezos Family Foundation, ReadyNation is helping to raise awareness and build support for the groundbreaking science of young children’s brain development.

The ReadyNation Brain Science Speakers Bureau facilitates knowledge sharing by offering a wide variety of groups access to qualified experts who know the science behind early brain development best: brain development specialists, including medical doctors, developmental psychologists, professors, and others with commensurate credentials.

ReadyNation is proud to be working with several of the top experts in the field on this initiative, including the Bezos Family Foundation, Institute for Learning and Brain Sciences (I-LABS) at the Univers ity of Washington, Center on the Developing Child at Harvard University, and ZERO TO THREE among others.

How It Works

Through the Brain Science Speakers Bureau, ReadyNation staffs these credentialed speakers to make presentations at third party events. In order to make this resource widely available to a diverse array of local groups (e.g., Rotary or Kiwanis Clubs, civic, business or other professional associations, etc.), speakers do not require an honorarium. Meeting organizers must generally pay travel costs if any, however.

Who Can Request a Speaker

Anyone! We want this message to be available to everyone including: service clubs, chambers of commerce, civic or professional associations, those in the early childhood field, those who want to be in the early childhood field, teachers, anyone with an interest.

STEP 1: Request Your Speaker

Requesting a brain science speaker is as easy as clicking here or on the button below, and completing a quick intake form that requires some preliminary information about your upcoming event. Groups interested in having a brain science speaker present at their event can choose from 21 different speakers from around the country - making it easy to find an expert near you. We kindly ask that hosts complete the form at least six weeks in advance of the scheduled event.

STEP 2: Connect With Your Speaker

Once you've completed the speaker request form, a ReadyNation staff member will reach out to you to confirm that we've received your request, begin direct outreach to the selected speaker, and obtain any additional information if necessary. In some cases, a host's first speaker choice may not be available for the date provided. In these situations, a ReadyNation staff member will reach back out to you to determine if there is another speaker you would like us to invite.

Upon confirming that the requested speaker is available for your event, a ReadyNation staff member will connect you with the brain science speaker directly to begin discussing logistics (e.g., travel arrangements, presentation timing, etc.).

STEP 3: Leave Us A Review

In order to evaluate and continually improve our Brain Science Speakers Bureau, we ask that event hosts complete a brief post-event survey about the speaker no later than 2 weeks following the event. A link to the post-event survey will be provided by ReadyNation staff via email shortly after the event concludes.
