Hello Neighbor,

Now that summer is over it's time to set our sites on the holidays. We are looking for gently worn Halloween costumes to be shared with kids in need. See below for details and we will match you up with one of our nonprofit partners. A great project for schools to show students the joy of giving back.

October 1st launches Adopt a Family 4 the Holidays 2015, when the website opens to adopters. Right now, our nonprofit partners throughout Miami Dade and Broward are entering profiles of families who need a little help to have a joyful holiday.

Make sure you like us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter to keep up with the latest.

Speaking of October, this year's Neighbors 4 Neighbors fundraiser at LIPS, Ft Lauderdale is on October 21st and it's going to be bigger than ever.

An Evening with Dream Girls has some fabulous guest hosts from our community. Chair Max Tucci, will be joined by Alyssa Lovitt, Susan Renneisen and Alonso Reed.

Tickets are available here...VIP seating is limited.

Sincerely,

Lynne Cameron
Executive Director

Lip's in Fort Lauderdale!

This event is over the top with fun, fashion and we want you to bring your friends.

With your support last year, our event committee headed by Max Tucci raised over $20,000 for our Adopt a Family program.

Every vote means more help for the families in need.

And, no rubber chickens here, the food at Lip's is divine.

Halloween is nearing and Neighbors 4 Neighbors is gearing up for our 3rd Annual costume drive, Operation Candy Corn.

Last year we collected almost 1,700 Costumes and with your help we can make that number even higher this year.

To become a collection site, please complete this form and email it to Monica@neighbors4neighbors.org.  We'll match you with one of our local non-profit partners and get the costumes to all the little boys and ghouls our community.

Thankfully, Tropical Storm Erika didn't effect our community terribly. But with Hurricane Season only at mid point, the chance for a storm is still possible.  10 years ago when Hurricane Katrina shook our nation, Neighbors 4 Neighbors jumped into action.

so that we can be ready to help in any kind of disaster.

Thank you South Florida! This year's Back to School Extravaganza was a huge success with over 6000, a record number, of students receiving much needed, uniforms, shoes, books and backpacks filled with supplies for the new school year!

At three locations hosted by our Partners at the Children's Services of Broward County, these fantastic families were treated to a venue filled with information tables, a boutique style shoe area, and helpful volunteers from Hands on Broward that guided the families through picking out their brand new backpack, uniforms and shoes.

Your donations amounted in a surplus that will help begin funding next year supplies drive.  We can't thank you enough for your support!

Ladies, do you know when to change your oil?

Neighbors 4 Neighbors is a non-profit organization 501 (c) 3 originally created by CBS4 in 1992 in the aftermath of Hurricane Andrew. As South Florida recovered, CBS4 made a commitment to make Neighbors an integral part of its community service program.  Using the power of television to reach people who want to help and by forging relationships with important community and business leaders, Neighbors has evolved into a valuable resource for individuals and families in our community facing critical needs.
