Free fishing this Saturday:

Free Fishing Day is an annual Idaho event where fishing is allowed without a license (but keep in mind that all other rules and regulations still apply). Department of Fish and Game staff and volunteers are also holding events in every region of the state with loaner gear for novice anglers to learn.


“In the month leading up to Free Fishing Day, Fish and Game hatcheries stocked about 500,000 catchable rainbow trout throughout the state,” IDFG Hatchery Manager Bryan Grant said.

Nearly a year out, no criminal charges for abortion

Idaho's court system as of May 31 had no record of any person being charged under the state criminal abortion statute that took effect after the overturn of Roe v Wade.
