The Young Physicians committee consists of early-career physicians (within 10-years of graduating residency), AAP-OC Chapter resident representatives and chief residents from the UCI-CHOC pediatrics residency.
Our goals are to promote local involvement of early-career pediatricians, pediatric residents and medical students interested in pediatrics, as well as encourage them to remain active in AAP-OC throughout their careers in the OC. Some major benefits of our events include networking with community pediatricians and opportunities for mentorship.
We try to achieve these goals by planning the following AAP-OC events: Mentorship Dinners (throughout the year), Resident Welcome (summer), Family Picnic (late spring), PL3 Life After Residency Workshop (late fall) and the Job Fair (mid-winter).
