Here's a look at the extra programming for ACRO 2023:
Wednesday, 6:00 pm: Welcome Med Student/Resident Meet-Up
Get a head start on the networking – casual meet and greet in the lobby bar with your fellow residents and med students .
Wednesday, 7:00 pm: Welcome Party
The official kick-off of the conference! Enjoy FREE food, beverages and meeting new people!
Thursday, 10:00-11:00 am: Speed-Networking Event
All medical students/residents/NP/SEALs invited for a round robin session networking with current innovators in the field, PD and chairmen, recruiters, and hear about current and future job opportunities. This session provides a great opportunity to create relationships early in the conference to build on as the meeting continues. Sign up required – email Alexis Schutz.
Thursday, 4:30-6:00 pm: Poster Walk and Quick Pitch Presentations
Browse through the posters of the 2023 abstracts and see what your colleagues have been researching. First half hour is informal come-and-go among the posters and author presentations, and walking with Professors is after that.
Thursday, 7:00-9:00 pm: After Party with VIP Resident Section
After a long day of educational sessions, come relax with other residents and med students at the After-Party. Look for signage and friendly faces! Beverages and snacks provided.
Friday, 4:00-5:30 pm: Cases with the Experts
Radiation oncology's greatest experts have created interesting cases for residents/med students and NP's. In small groups, you will rotate through the different cases covering all disease sites and learn from the true experts in our field!
Friday, 5:30-7:00 pm: Quizzo and Corporate Partner Appreciation
Team up in a classic trivia game -- compete to win with medical AND pop culture material!
Friday, 7:00 pm: President’s Reception
Drinks, DJ, and entertainment with all your new and old ACRO friends.
Saturday, 12:00 pm: Med Student/Resident/NP Luncheon
Enjoy a quick meal while reflecting on the conference with your up-and-coming colleagues.
Saturday, 12:30 pm: Financial Advice for the New Physician
Doctors Without Quarters presents a high-yield lecture on what the new physician should be doing with their finances. From the most recent loan repayment information to specifics on how to invest as you transition from medical student to resident to NP, this is a session you don't want to miss!
Saturday, 1:30 pm: Board Prep: Insider Tips and Tricks for all Rad Onc boards (Orals, Clinicals, Radbio/Physics)
