ESC of Lake Erie West Resident Educator Consortium
Resident Educator RE Year 3 and RESA Monthly Update
September 2021
Thanks to all who attended the first RESA session. Be sure to mark your calendar now for your next session. The next RE Year 3/RESA session will be on Wednesday, October 6 from 4:30-6:00pm via Zoom. The Zoom link for the meeting will be posted on the Google Site approximately 24 hours prior to the meeting, and you will receive an email as well.
What You Should Be Doing Now
RESA Candidates Should Be Doing the Following:
  • Ensure your program coordinator has entered your information into CORE (portal for ODE to submit your information to TeachForward).

  • BE ON THE WATCH FOR AN EMAIL FROM TEACHFORWARD THAT WILL ASK YOU CREATE AN ACCOUNT AND LOG IN. THIS ACCOUNT PROVIDES YOU ACCESS TO THE MATERIALS AND IS ALSO HOW SUBMISSION HAPPENS.

  • Download and read the entire RESA Guidebook to familiarize yourself with the requirements for submission

  • Look into your technology options and resources that are available to you for recording your lesson

  • Check with school administration to ensure your students can be videotaped

  • Check in with your facilitator and seek their help when needed

  • The Google Site has a "appropriate support" reference page as to what facilitators are allowed to do.

  • Begin practicing recording lessons so you will have options to choose from when it is time for submission
Resources for You
Resident Educator Monthly Update

MEETING CANCELLATIONS DUE TO WEATHER OR OTHER CIRCUMSTANCES
