Lineworkers Visit Primary School

Another advantage of Public Power is we are right down the street and available to meet with our local students. On September 19th, lineworkers set up their trucks in the Primary School parking lot for a safety talk with Kindergarten students. Each student was also provided with a book, "If I Were a Lineworker", which was written and illustrated by WPPI Energy, our wholesale energy provider.

Hurricane Milton

Help in on the way! As Florida braces for the impact of Hurricane Milton, lineworkers, equipment, and supplies from 22 Wisconsin communities are making their way to provide mutual aid to Kissimmee Utility Authority. The crews departed at 7 a.m. this morning and will arrive in central Florida by mid-day Thursday. Our lineworker, Dave Koenig, is part of this crew. Stay safe everyone!

Resident Resources

Leaf pick-up service in the City of Lodi will again be available this fall. City workers will periodically circulate the city beginning mid-October and will continue through the month of November, weather permitting.

There is no set schedule for this service as there are too many variables, mostly weather. The equipment used to suck up leaves will not function if temperatures are below freezing and/or snow falls. If you are concerned that your leaves will sit too long, you may take them to the compost site on Highway K.

Please remember:

Rake leaves to the curb - NOT into the street or onto sidewalks.
Leaves will not be picked up if they are in bags.
Leaves will not be picked up if they are comingled with garden waste, animal waste, brush, or stones.
Leaves will not be picked up if a vehicle is parked in front of them.
Leaves will not be picked up if they are next to a fire hydrant or a power pole guy wire.
Burning of leaves is prohibited within the City.
Leaves, grass, and garden waste may be disposed of at the City compost site on Highway K.
Leaves will NOT be collected in the spring.

Last Day to Register to Vote Online or by Mail is October 16

The last day to register online or by mail for the November 5, 2024 General Election is Wednesday, October 16.

After October 16 you must register in the Clerk’s Office at Lodi City Hall or at the polls on Election Day. If you are not registered at your current address that you have resided at for at least 28 days before the election, you will need to re-register. If you have had a name change, you will also need to re-register.

Please save yourself time and keep the election line moving by registering before election day.

Online registration is available at MyVote Wisconsin.

Registering before election day will save you time and speed up the voting process.

Trick or Treating for Halloween in the City of Lodi will be on Thursday, October 31, 2024 from 5:00 PM thru 8:00 PM.

The Lodi Police Department would like to remind children to only go to places that are well lit and have a porch light on. Trick-or-Treaters should also be familiar with the individuals in the residence and never go alone.

Candy should not be eaten until an adult has checked it. If you see any suspicious activity, please notify the Lodi Police Department right away.
