Dear Clients, Families and Team Members:
This week, we had our first positive case in a resident. This resident was never in contact with any other residents while positive. All staff who worked with client were tested and had negative results. Additionally, we offered a test to any staff who wanted one completed (again, all negative).
Essential Caregivers are cancelled on Monday, November 16th so we can re-test staff who worked with the COVID positive client to confirm there hasn’t been any spread. Pending good news on Monday, we will keep the Tuesday Essential Caregiver slots and thereafter. Nurses will contact you personally if you had signed up for Monday.
To ease the amount of emails in everyone’s inbox, we are going to convert our announcements of staff and resident positive cases in a weekly update. If your loved one tests positive for COVID-19 however, we will reach out to you personally.

Please know that we are taking all actions we can to prevent the risk of further transmission of COVID-19. We are screening staff before their shift, creating isolation areas, wearing PPE, all staff wearing masks when in the facility, on-going education, cleaning and disinfecting frequently, limiting visitation, utilizing telehealth, etc.
If you have any general questions, please contact one of our nurses.
Your support and trust in our care means the world to us. Your loved ones are the reason we are fighting our hardest to keep COVID out of Serenity. We love them very much.
