Dear Residents,

The Housing Authority of Champaign County cares about the health and safety of our residents, staff, and partners, and we are taking the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) very seriously. To help protect you and your families, we have employed some additional safety measures to decrease the chances of our residents and staff contracting the COVID-19 virus.

Over the next several weeks, you may notice a more frequent presence of custodial staff throughout your buildings. Our property management team will continue to utilize commercial-grade cleaners to disinfect the commonly used areas of the building such as door handles, floors, railings, elevators, counters, tables, chairs, etc. These locations will be scheduled for cleaning twice daily including weekends, and on an as-needed basis. We have and will continue to maintain a philosophy of providing the highest levels of client service and cleanliness within our facilities. Should you have any questions or concerns regarding the cleanliness of an area within your building please feel free to contact your property manager or reach out to our office of constituent services at 217-378-7100 x 5001 or [email protected] .

In addition to ramping up the sanitation of our buildings, we are also requesting that residents do not congregate in common areas such as the TV room, community room, or residential foyers. HACC will be closing all common areas with the exception of the community room for mail retrieval only . The use of this space will be heavily monitored for resident safety and we ask that all tenants comply with this request.

To decrease the chances of spreading germs, only high-priority or emergency work orders will be processed at this time. you may reach our emergency maintenance department at 217-384-6564 Finally, we request that any individual who has a confirmed case of COVID-19 notify the property manager at your building as soon as possible.
Should there be any additional questions or concerns regarding our response to COVID-19 please contact our office of constituent services at 217-378-7100 x 5001 or [email protected]

Best regards,
