Prosper Historical Marker Rededication Ceremony Rescheduled for March 18
Due to inclement weather, the Prosper Historical Marker Rededication Ceremony will now be held on Friday, March 18 at 10 a.m. Join the Town of Prosper and the Prosper Historical Society for this important moment in Prosper's history following the relocation from its original location to its new home on the grounds of Prosper Town Hall and Community Library. The ceremony will be held outside of the entrance of the Prosper Community Library.
Frontier Parkway Now Has a New Traffic Pattern Between Prairie Crossing and Dallas Parkway
Travelers on Frontier Parkway will notice a new traffic pattern between Prairie Crossing and Dallas Parkway. Traffic has been moved to the new section of pavement as progress continues on this project. This new traffic pattern also now allows access to Wesley Drive. Fix-a-Leak Week Virtual Workshops March 15 & 17
Repairing leaks at home can save over 10,000 gallons of water per year - enough to fill an Olympic-sized swimming pool. Learn from the experts how to find & fix common household leaks in a FREE two-part webinar series on March 15 and 17. Houston Public Works, Dallas Water Utilities, Round Rock Water Utilities, Fort Worth Water and Tarrant Regional Water District are bringing together a virtual class line-up featuring some of the leaders in the leak repair industry, providing comprehensive information about repairing simple water leaks inside and outside the home. This is a DIY event you will not want to miss!  Select participants who complete the survey at the end of the program may get a special gift - first come, first serve while supplies last - attend the program to learn more!

Story Time on the Road March 18
Beep! Beep! Hit the road with the Prosper Community Library on March 18 at 10:30 a.m. for a fun storytime and a fascinating tour to find out what happens when a car gets bumped and bruised. No registration is required for parents and kids to attend. The location of this storytime will be held at The Body Shop Collision Repair located at 430 Business Park Drive Prosper, TX. Get a Head Start on Your Spring Cleaning During the Annual Spring Cleanup March 19
The 11th Annual Prosper Spring Cleanup will take place on Saturday, March 19 from 8 a.m. – noon at Prosper Town Hall. Dispose of electronic waste, bulk trash items, or cardboard and metal. There will also be document shredding available on site. Cornerstone will be accepting donations of your new and gently used donated clothing, toys, furniture and household goods.

Electronic Waste
We accept computers, CRT (cathode ray tube) monitors, televisions, printers, scanners, copiers, radios, CD players, VCRs, cellular and wireless telephones. *There will be a $25 disposal fee for each CRT TV/Monitor (credit cards only)

Document Shredding
Shredding paper is a safe and effective way of ensuring your valuable information doesn’t end up in the wrong hands. Items such as confidential documents, bank statements, old bills and magazines can be safely shredded during this event. Please remove staples, paper clips and rubber bands before shredding. *Up to five boxes will be accepted.

Bulk Trash Items
Extra trash, household appliances, furniture, mattresses, and other large or bulky household items will be accepted for disposal. *Household hazardous waste and tires will not be accepted.

Cardboard and Metal
Numerous metal items common to most households can be recycled. Accepted at this event are water heaters, washers, dryers, refrigerators*, freezers* and small metal scrap (screws, utensils, hinges, pipes, bolts, etc.). *Refrigerators and freezers must be tagged certified removal of refrigerants.

Cornerstone North Central Texas will be accepting donations of your new and gently used donated clothing, toys, furniture and household goods. For a map and details on acceptable items for the Spring Cleanup.
Library Grow Cube Ribbon Cutting March 22
The Prosper Community Library invites you to be a part of the new mobile GROW Cube ribbon-cutting ceremony on March 22 at 5:30 p.m. The GROW Cube is a mobile library designed to visit neighborhoods in our community. Be on the lookout for information about scheduling a GROW Cube visit for your neighborhood. Attend the Reconstruction and Widening of Parvin Road Public Input Meeting on March 29
The Town of Prosper and City of Celina are proposing to reconstruct and widen Parvin Road from Farm-to-Market Road (FM) 1385 to the Dallas Parkway South at the Dallas North Tollway (DNT) in Denton and Collin Counties, Texas. Residents are invited to attend a public meeting to provide input regarding the proposed alignments on Tuesday, March 29 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the City of Celina Council Chambers (112 N. Colorado, Celina, TX). Public meeting attendees will be able to review project materials, ask questions of the Town of Prosper and City of Celina staff and consultants as well as leave written comments. 

The Parvin Road project extends from FM 1385, passes Legacy Drive and ends at DNT South. Parvin Road is in the southern section of Celina and the northwest section of Prosper. The purpose of the Parvin Road project is to expand the 2-lane rural road to a 4-lane divided urban road with an ultimate 6-lane divided urban facility. Following schematic design and preliminary engineering, the Parvin Road project will consist of right-of-way (ROW) document preparation, and the construction of approximately 4 miles of 4-lane concrete roadway, approximately 1 mile of a 2-lane concrete roadway, four major drainage structures (bridge class culvert or greater), roadway lighting, landscaping and irrigation.

A preliminary environmental constraints map, proposed and alternative alignment maps, drawings showing the project location and design, tentative construction schedules and other information regarding the proposed project will be available for viewing during the public meeting or upon request to ParvinRoad@piacommunications.com or by calling 214-551-5401. 

Comments from the public regarding the proposed project are requested and may be submitted by mail to Parvin Road, P.O. Box 570, Allen, TX 75013 or by email to ParvinRoad@piacommunications.com. Verbal comments may be submitted by leaving a voicemail at 214-626-8502. All comments must be received or postmarked by Wednesday, April 13.
