We want to continue to communicate some updates to our residents. Please know we are receiving your information, logging your requests, and constantly measuring answers to your important questions. Continuing, we are making great strides on gathering resources, equipment and personnel for recovery efforts.
All work is being prioritized and are working to attend to your needs and requests as soon as possible.
Please find the following items of note:
Cherry Point:
- At Cherry Point, most of the power has been restored. Slocum Village and Grants Landing are still being repaired by Duke Energy. We will keep you updated as information becomes available. Click here to stay up-to-date with MCAS Cherry Point official Facebook page.
- Trash pick up at Cherry Point will resume Thursday, 20 SEPT, taking care of the Grants Landing, Lawson Village, and half of Slocum Village. Click here for the trash & recycling schedule.
- Slocum Village Community Center: 102 Bern Street Havelock, NC 28532, is open for business at 9am. This office will be open on Saturday and Sunday from 9am-3pm.
Camp Lejeune:
- Most areas are still without power. We will send updates as they are available.
- New River Air Station has restored power as well as some parts of Midway Park. Efforts are underway to restoring power all around the installation. Please refer to the Hurricane FAQs on power outages.
- Trash pick-up at Camp Lejeune will resume on Thursday, 20 SEPT, taking care of the Paradise Point and Berkley Manor communities. Click here for the trash & recycling schedule.

- You will need to click “yes” for Permission to Enter for the request to get to us. And while we cannot address any requests until conditions improve, your request will be recorded and listed for action.
- With the concurrence of MCI East, AMCC will be knocking on your door for entry and then accessing every home to ensure the house and all families are safe.
- If you have yard waste from the storm, please place those items at the area where you normally place your trash. We will have a service to collect yard waste.
Our General Management Office, NRAS Communtiy Center and MWP Community Centers will be open for questions at 9am.
