Resident and Guest Updates
Closure of City Facilities and Event  Cancellations

The updates on the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic are rapidly unfolding. The City of Rancho Mirage is working closely with the Riverside County of Public Health and monitoring how this impacts our community. As a reminder, please stay informed on all the precautions you can be taking via the Center for Disease Control (CDC) website
(click here). If you are "high risk" (elderly or have pre-existing health conditions), please avoid gatherings and practice social distancing.
 
On March 9th the City of Rancho Mirage announced the temporary closure of the Rancho Mirage Library and Observatory as well as the cancellation of City events through the end of March. Those closures and cancellations are now extended until April 30, 2020 as recommended by the recent March 16, 2020 order from the Riverside County Public Health Department. The important services the City of Rancho Mirage performs will continue although there may be delays in response time. Residents and guests are encouraged to call, email or go online with their questions. The below closures and cancelations are a means to slow down exposure of the COVID-19 virus to residents and guests as well as protect City staff so they can continue to operate the services our citizens rely on.
 
Rancho Mirage Voters:
  • Rancho Mirage City Hall Lobby will be open 8am - 5pm, Monday - Friday so Rancho Mirage Voters can drop off their April 14, 2020 General Municipal Election ballots. Please note, ballots include pre-paid postage envelopes and it is HIGHLY recommended that Rancho Mirage voters mail in their ballots. City Facilities:
 
  • The City of Rancho Mirage Library and Observatory will remain closed to the public through April 30, 2020. All regular scheduled programming will be canceled during this period and there will be no public access to the facility.
  • The Rancho Mirage City Hall is closed to the public until further notice (except the main lobby for ballot drop off as described above and Council Chambers for scheduled council meetings and public commission meetings). Please call or email if assistance is needed. City staff will be working and responding to phone calls and emails during normal business hours.
  • The Rancho Mirage Dog Park is currently closed.
 
 
City Events:
  • All Library, Observatory and City events have been canceled through April 30, 2020. Any event that required paid admission, will be issuing a full refund and those patrons have been contacted directly about their refund.
