Residential Conveyancing Section Webinar on September 19th

Japanese Knotweed: The Latest Threat to

Homeowners That Every Buyer, Seller

and Developer Should Know About!

Please join REBA's Residential Conveyancing Section for a webinar at 12 noon on Tuesday, September 19th. Jake E. Marcus, a Partner at Allcock & Marcus LLC, John G. Mateus, owner of the Law Offices of John G. Mateus in Woburn, and Christopher Polatin, Principal and Restoration Ecologist at Land Stewardship, Inc., will present.

For home buyers and sellers, this invasive species could be the “new radon.”  After panelist John Mateus secured a six-figure verdict on behalf of unsuspecting home buyers, Japanese knotweed is now established in court as a threat to homeowners, developers, builders and all those involved in real estate transactions.  Our presenters will discuss what you need to know about the latest legal developments, as well as the scientific background of this costly invasive species.

This webcast program, open to all REBA members, is from 12 to 1 pm on Tuesday, September 19, 2023.

To register, RSVP to Matt Zarrella at [email protected]
