Dear Residents,

As the academic year draws to a close, we want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to each of you for choosing to live on campus and being an integral part of our vibrant community. Your presence has enriched our shared experience and contributed to the dynamic atmosphere that makes Saint Mary's College feel like home.

To our graduating seniors, congratulations on reaching this significant milestone! We are incredibly proud of your achievements and excited for the bright futures that lie ahead.

To all our residents, we wish you a wonderful, restful summer. May it be filled with joy, adventure, and the opportunity to recharge for the coming year. Thank you once again, and we look forward to welcoming many of you back in the fall!

Residence Hall Closure

Non-graduating students may move out anytime up until the residence halls close on Friday, May 24, 2024 at 12pm. If you are a graduating senior, the deadline to move out is by Sunday, May 26, 2024 at 12pm.

Each resident must either check-out with Campus Housing Monday-Friday 8:30am-4:30pm OR use the online self check-out option on the StarRez Housing Portal. Residents will all be sent a "magic link" prior to move-out week that'll allow them to complete the online self check-out form without needing to login. Residents will not be checking out with RAs, and instead will utilize the Campus Housing Office or the Online Self Check-Out process.

*Please keep in mind, the last meal served in Oliver Hall is lunch on Friday, May 24th.

Summer Housing Application

Do you need to stay on campus this summer? The summer housing application is open. Summer residential students will be housed in Claeys North. Campus Housing will be reaching out to those with submitted summer applications to confirm Spring to Summer moving logistics and applicable additional costs. Summer housing costs can be found here.

*Summer Housing Eligibility* Students must be enrolled in summer classes OR enrolled in Fall classes prior to moving into summer housing

Donating Your Stuff...

In partnership with sustainability efforts, there will be large, white donation bins placed around campus during move-out week. If you come across slightly used items that may need a new home, please consider placing those items in the donation bins instead of the trash cans!

Moving Out of Your Rooms:

To prepare for your check-out with Campus Housing or the Online Self Check-Out, please make sure that your room is completely cleared of your belongings and follow the checklist below before submitting your room key.

To avoid improper check-out fees, please adhere to the checklist above. Also, please keep in mind trash and recycling bins near your residence halls!

Ready to Check-Out?

When you're ready to check-out, you will head down to the Campus Housing Office (Ground Floor of Augustine Hall). Between 8:30am-4:30pm Monday through Friday, Campus Housing will be open to complete your check-out, collect your room key, and confirm you have completed all move-out items.

Checking out after hours or during the weekend?

Students can utilize our Self Check-Out Form on the StarRez Housing Portal where they'll agree they have completed all move-out items and have dropped their room key (labeled) into the black metal key dropbox that is next to Campus Housing's office door. An additional email with an easy to use "magic link" for the self check-out form will be emailed to students prior to move-out week.

PMB Keys:

If you are graduating and/or not returning to live on campus for Fall 2024, please return your Private Mailbox (PMB) key to the campus Post Office prior to your check-out date. Please complete any necessary paperwork with them should you need your mail forwarded to a different, off campus mailing address.

*If you are returning to on-campus housing in the Fall, you can keep your PMB keys, but might need to temporarily provide a different mailing address for any summer shipments.

Also, please check with the campus post office if you have any leftover packages prior to May 24th!

Did you rent a mini-fridge this year?

Our 3rd party vendor Collegiate Concepts will be coming back to campus on May 29th to pick up all rentals. Make sure your rental is cleaned, unplugged, and left outside of your room prior to checking out!

Please take a few moments to complete the survey by Friday, May 24, 2024 to give us time to review and implement residential initiatives. Please note that the survey is anonymous and if desired, you can share your email with us to follow-up with you on your responses.

Dining Updates

The last meal in Oliver for the 2023-2024 academic year will be lunch on Friday, May 24, 2024. Lunch will end at 2:00 PM. After 2:00 PM meal plans will no longer be active. All dining dollars that are included with the 5 or 7 day meal plan will expire.
