Residential Rental Licensing Expands Citywide
All rental properties in Brampton with 1–4 units must be licensed under the Residential Rental Licensing Program. Any Additional Residential Unit must be registered first, if applicable. The RRL licence application is free. Operating without a licence is illegal and subject to fines and penalties.
The City of Brampton values community input in shaping its annual budget. The 2026 Proposed Budget is now available for review and residents and community partners are encouraged to share their perspectives through a variety of public engagement opportunities. These include a telephone town hall, coffee chats, a business community roundtable and Council deliberations.

As of January 1, 2026, Peel Region’s recycling program is managed by Circular Materials. This change is part of a province-wide mandate that shifts the responsibility of recycling operations and costs to producers. There will be no change to your bin or collection schedule.
