New bins hit the high street

New litter bins have been installed in Ascot this week as part of our work to create a cleaner, greener, safer borough. This follows recent rollouts across Windsor and Maidenhead to help keep our borough tidy and welcoming.

Additionally this week, jet washing, graffiti and flyposting removal, and litter picking also took place across Ascot and Sunninghill. Enforcement officers issued fixed penalty notices for fly-tipping and littering, and engaged with local businesses and residents on waste and recycling issues.

Have your say in on proposals to tackle ticket touting and unauthorised selling in Ascot

Police and community wardens could be given new powers to tackle ticket touting and unauthorised selling during Royal Ascot.

Our consultation proposes creating a new Public Space Protection Order, a common tool used to tackle antisocial behaviour, on Ascot High Street and Station Hill to help protect the area for residents and visitors during Royal Ascot.

Put on your flu armour

Flu cases are rising locally with some hospitals in the Royal Borough and surrounding areas now asking visitors and staff to wear masks.

By getting vaccinated against flu, you'll protect both yourself and your loved ones by slowing its spread.

Share your views on the Desborough Park Flood Alleviation Scheme

The Desborough Park Flood Alleviation Scheme, previously titled Brill Close, aims to store storm water temporarily, using a storage basin at Desborough Park, to reduce flood risk to infrastructure and properties, before slowly releasing it back into the storm water pipes over time.

Following a recent engagement event, exhibition posters for Desborough Park Flood Alleviation Scheme are now available on RBWM Together - as well as a link for the planning application.
